The upper bar is a better place to hang out to avoid the smoke from violators of the clean air act (especially if the wind direction goes straight to you) and noise pollution from barking dogs and roosters down below. Food is pretty good. Loved the pizza. The dark chocolate frappe is too small though for php160. Americano coffee is ok Chef's Salad is good. Classic place in Cebu that is still a good place to chill.

A nice place to eat. The food was very delicious for my family to eat here! The sisig is very yummy, and I am so glad they add my favourites there. Also, the soup is a bit sour but too delicious. And also the spare ribs is too tasty than a steak. And the iced tea is too refreshing! This is more cool and nice if you will had dinner. And it is really nice to see that they have also a fish aqarium near the entrance! My experience is very outstanding. If you are looking for a resturant to eat, I recommend and suggest you to eat here at Mr. A Bar and Resturant. Thank you Mr. A for a nice place to eat!

My team enjoyed a wonderful dinner under the cool, cloudy night sky. The food was delicious, and the portions were great for sharing. The servers were attentive and ready to help. I'd been here before the pandemic and had a great time. I was excited to come back now that they've reopened. There's plenty of parking, and lots of seating for families, friends, parties, and special events.

Visited in April '25 with family after visiting TOPS. As we were driving up, we saw a sign for Mr. A which was tucked away from the main road. They have an extensive menu which has a good mix between Filipino, Chinese and Italian. Their portions vary! Which can be great for sharing meals as some dishes are massive as is the case for their Lomi/Calamari. If you're with a big group of people, this restaurant can get pricey real fast. They tack on a 10% service charge on your bill. The restaurant is sizable and they have powerful speakers. Other patrons were singing karaoke which we thought was off-putting; especially during dinner. A live band or performer, sure. But maybe singing patrons can be tucked away in a private, karaoke room. I know folk love being a main character; but sometimes you just want an easygoing dinner where you can actually hear people at your table. The ambiance was alright, they had led lamps which you need to read their menu as it was pitch black. Mosquitoes were also feasting during dinner; we recommend switching the lighting to warm/yellow as the cool/blue light seemed to attract them. I have to say, this is probably one of the best pizzas I have had in Cebu! It is very authentic, and tastes fresh (not a pre-made frozen pizza!). Bit of a trek to get to if not in the area but would be keen to bring my partner and friends when we find ourselves back in Cebu.
